Fox and I were both swamped this week with work, so neither of us had time to construct an elaborate comic. Instead we worked together and brainstormed this smaller-sized gag so that none of our larger plans would have to have script sacrificed from them.
But on to the actual subject matter... Portal is very unique game and highly entertaining game, and if this is the first you're hearing of it, then I highly suggest you look at the trailer, which you can find here. There has never really been another game like this, the only way to really categorize it is "Puzzle/Survivor/Humour", the gameplay brings a sense of satisfaction I've never really felt in a puzzle game before, and the little scraps of plot you collect are almost more engaging than the game itself.
This game was part of a big package product from Valve called "The Orange Box", but if you, like me, have absolutely no interest in first person shooter games, then you can save yourself some serious cash and just download Portal to your computer from Valve's website for just a fraction of the cost.

It took me forever to come up with this idea. I knew that there was humour to be had in a Portal, and I spent hours trying to figure out just what WAS the funniest thing to do with a portal loop. It finally came to me when I asked myself. "What is more funny the longer it lasts?", and suddenly I recalled Ace Ventura. And my quest was done.
Portal is short. I love it to bits, in fact, I'm going to play it again the second I finish writing this.. but it demands more content to it. The head-scratching and moments of ecstatic clairvoyance are like some kind of addictive narcotic... like... that marker smell, or squirrel fishing.

I'm surprised you didn't actually use squirrels in some way.
